Background

The Hill of Tarvit Mansion House is a National Trust for Scotland property set in 200 hectares of grounds. The house is largely the work of Robert Lorimer, an architect who redesigned the existing house in 1906.

The House is currently on the NTS at risk list as it fails to pay for itself. More information on the Hill of Tarvit Mansion House can be found on the National Trust for Scotland website.

Ceremony

We will be having a civil ceremony in the main hall, which will start at around 3.30pm and last for about fifteen minutes; please note that due to the historic nature of the wooden floor, heels less than 2cm width are forbidden (but it does mean the ladies have an excuse to buy more than one pair of shoes).

The ceremony will be followed by a drinks reception, hopefully in the grounds. Then, whilst the Bridal party are having photos taken, everyone can have a tour of the House.

Location

The Hill of Tarvit is in Fife, across the river Tay from Dundee and just outside Cupar. It's about half an hour drive from Dundee.

Transport

A double decker bus will run from the Invercarse Hotel to the Hill of Tarvit at approximately 2.30pm and will leave at 5.30pm to return guests to the Invercarse. However, we are limited for space, so it's first-come-first-served. If you can make your own way there it may be useful.
